  1. Plumeria or frangipani can be grown as a small tree with beautifuly fragrant flowers in your area. They can easily be propagated from cuttings. Plumeria are heat-loving, and, once established, they are drought-tolerant plants. They can be grown as potted plants or in the ground in your climate does not have winter temps that drop below 30 degrees for an extended amount of time. The flowers have varied fragrances, some spicy, some sweet, some fruity. And the flowers bloom in various colors, cerise, dark reds, yellows, pinks, whites, rainbows, etc. If you are new to growing plumeria, or have never tried to grow them, but have always wanted to, check out a free Yahoo group called the ALOHA PLUMERIA GROUP which will provide you with the support you need to have your questions answered, and learn how to do that. I provided the link below. Its a very friendly group of helpful plumeria hobbyists and enthusiasts. And there are photo albums in the group that you can view which shows a lot of beautiful pictures of various plumeria/frangipanis.
