What are the requirements to work for Targets Assets Protection?

Im interested in this job but i dont know what the requirments are. Im 19, i go to college and my major is administraion of justice. I only have volunteer work experince. Plus i have an active Security guard liscence. Please dont refer the target website because it doesn't tell you the requirements. I am not interested in the front door receipt checker job because its pointless. What are the chances i will get to work as an assets protection undercover agent? Anyone who works for targets assets protection or at target even people who have knowledge about this please help. Thanks

  1. Well as far as the undercover part, I believe that is an HQ job, in which case you would have to go to the website in order to apply. I spoke to a guy who came into my store for an investigation, and he made it sound like they go to different stores within a set area, so you would not be hired by the individual store, but instead by headquarters. And as far as the "receipt checker" job, there is no such job. Those people are in fact the ones behind the scenes who also are in charge of the cameras and dealing with people who steal merchandise. Every once in awhile they just go up to the door and stand there. Part of the point of doing that is for people to walk in and see them and realize that they are there and are watching, so it is more of a deterrent. Our store only has 3 with the AP job, and since you can't apply online, it can be difficult to get into. My suggestion would be to do what I am doing--take a job at a Target that is hiring and let them know that you are interested in AP and will do whatever position you choose until an AP spot opens up.
